Manuel de la Torre - Piano & Technology InstructorMusic has been a part of my life pretty much since before I could walk. My parents have footage of me strumming a guitar when I was six months old. My favorite toys were usually musical instruments - drums, a little piano, an accordion, a marimba, a plastic trumpet. Three decades later, my favorite toys are still musical instruments. So, why teach piano? Because it is a privilege to be allowed to transfer some of that love for music - and the knowledge that comes with it - to people that are either just discovering it, or that are looking for an alternative approach to piano and synthsizer performance. Having performed in music groups and bands since the age of twelve has given me the kind of knowledge that you typically don't find in a teaching room, and I am glad to be able to share this with my students. |
